~ a group of african lions lving together is called a pride
~ the average african lion pride revolves around a family unit of about 15 lions, usually about 5 - 10 femalelions with their offspring baby lions as well as 3 male lions that are friendly with each other, often brothers
~ Lions love to drink water ...but can survive up to 5 days without a single drop of water ..
~ when a Male African Lion takes over an estblished pride it often kills all current cubs of the pride and then mates with the female lions in heat to father new lions cubs
~ frican Lions can run as fast as 30mph or a distance of approx 50 yards ( that is 48 kmph over approx 46mtrs)
